Is the sentence OK?

Larry: It wasn't me, it was Paul.

Seth: Go home Larry. You're fired.

Seth goes into his office, leaving Larry standing there, pissed off.


1) Is the highlighted sentence OK?

2) Could I omit "standing there"? And would it change the meaning?
