Rusja Karsanova I wonder if the sentence:"His first real chance of it came up along with the Internet"is correct? Grammatically possible but stylistically awkward and perhaps semantically wrong. 'Up' is suspicious (the internet cannot 'come up', I think) and what is 'it'?

Yes. I take it to mean this.
"His first real chance to do it occurred unexpectedly at the time the internet was being developed."

Is this roughly the meaning you intend?

This is what I think the original sentence tried to say: His real [ career / business] opportunity came with the arrival / development of the internet.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thank you so much!
