Is the sentence correct?

This is related to my earlier question "Which is the correct verb?"

I have amended the sentence as follows:

The scientific terms - carbon, oxygen and hydrogen - are called earth, water, fire, wind and space in Buddhism.

Is the sentence correct, especially in regard to punctuation?

Thanks.
