Is the sentence correct?

Hello,

I'm writing a research proposal. I would like to end it with a strong sentence underlining the general idea behind the research. Thus, I'm considering following sentence:

"That’s not what humanity stands for."

It ends with preposition, so I'm not sure if it is okay to leave like that. I will be grateful for your opinion.

Anonymous It ends with preposition, so I'm not sure if it is okay to leave like that. I will be grateful for your opinion. Within that sentence, the ending preposition is fine, since the rest of the sentence is also informal.

  • However, as a concluding sentence to a formal proposal, something more formal is probably better.
  • I suggest that you re-think your concluding remark.
