Is the sentence correct?

Sentence: You presumed too much for the IQ level of a centrist.

Question: Is the sentence above, which is being said in a sarcastic tone, correct?

To understand it, I have to put it in a context. In an email exchange a friend presumed (his word) too much regarding something. The exchange was of political nature. Would not it be a sarcastic reply in that context?
