Is the sentence "A botanical garden was forced to close temporarily due to damage incurred by tourists " grammaticaly?

A botanical garden was forced to close temporarily due to damage incurred by tourists.

What I'm trying to say is that the garden was closed because of the tourist's actions. Is the usage of "incurred by" correct?
