Is 'the reason why' bad grammar?

"One of the reasons why I love her..." and other variations.

It really annoys me when I see "hence why" and this is essentially the same. I'm not sure though, so I've taken to you guys before I confront anyone about it. Emotion: big smile

Hi, No, this phrase is not considered bad grammar. It is merely that you are likely to use it in speech rather than in formal writing. Perhaps it annoys you because this phrase is becoming overused.

Hi,
It's like saying "but.....though"; same thing, not required. -- No, you cannot compare apples and oranges.
This phrase is in common usage, believe it or not.
