Is the pronoun for "lights" them or it? Thx sooooo much for advising! =]

Hi everyone,

I wonder if the pronoun for "lights" is them or it as in:

We should switch off the ( light or lights) if we are not using ( it or them).

light = it?
lights = them?

Please advise, thx soooooo much! =D
