You need "a" before "jacket".

A jacket gives us comfort....

The plural is fine too.

Jackets give us comfort...

Some people might argue that "a jacket" needs a singular pronoun (me, her, him ) to follow it but I see "gives us" simply as another way of saying "gives people" so I have no objections with that part.

From my point of view you don't need to use "the" because it's not a specific jacket - you speak generally about jackets.

Therefore the same for "the winter season" - you don't need "the" because you speak generally about winters and not a specific one.

My version is: "Jackets give us comfort in winter season."

When you say the winter season, you're thinking about one of the (four) seasons of the year.

Hi,
This sentence needs an indefinite article "a", much like " A glass of warm milk can help us sleep better".
I would say though " A quality jacket can provide us comfort and keep us warm during the winter".
