Is the meaning for "Suck up" and "Keep it real " the same ?

While watching TV, I heard somebody saying :

1) I just sucked it up, and decided to go on

2) I don't like this job, but I'm gonna keep it real

It seems to me, that they both mean the same thing or am I mistaken ? .

Thanks for your help.

Hi, 1) I just sucked it up, and decided to go on I accepted it without complaint and continued. 2) I don't like this job, but I'm gonna keep it real I don't think this sentence works well, but then I'm not a 19 year-old kid who talks this way, so what do I know? 'To keep it real' means 'to stay in touch withe realities of life', 'to be genuine'.
