Is the following question grammatically correct/does it sound good?

"Stephanie gave a piece of pizza to and received a gift from one of her children."

Can the "and" follow the "to"? If not, how can I rewrite the sentence?

You need to add commas,

eg "Stephanie gave a piece of pizza to, and received a gift from, one of her children."

But it's better to reword,

eg "Stephanie gave a piece of pizza to one of her children, and received a gift from him.
