...is the first online site [helping/to help] to promote...

A CNN reporter says:

Jumo, which in one West African language, means, "together in concert," is not the first online site helping to promote charitable causes. Sites like GuideStar and Charity Navigator also evaluate and rate non-profits to help donors make more informed decisions.

Is it grammatically correct to use "helping" here?

How about using "to help" instead of "helping" in this context?

Are both possible or do you prefer one over the other?
