Is the end of this sentence properly phrased?

Following the defeat, Kitiara returned to Flotsam and discovered that Tanis and his companions were leaving on a ship named the Perechon, which she also learned held Berem.

cboutin3 held Berem. I think there's a better verb than held , unless you mean that Berem was being there against his/her will. Perhaps carried/was transporting might be better.

I think there's a better verb than held, unless you mean that Berem was being there against his/her will. Perhaps carried/was transporting might be better. However, if your reader would not wonder about this, leave it.
