Is the consonant sound dropped before "l"?

I'm wondering, is the consonant sound dropped before "l"? because when I listen to words like:

restless

I can't really hear the "t" being pronounced?

any help is appreciated. Thanks!

In your example, the "t" should be pronounced. Some people's tongues are lazier than other people's tongues. There should be a point before the "l" at which no air is escaping.

On the other hand, in the word "wrestle," the "t" is completely suppressed, and one passes from the "s" sound to the "l" sound without interrupting the flow of air, as when pronouncing the word "slow."
