Hello, Rahul—and welcome to English Forums. You are trying to use big words that are of the wrong register; save such words for a thesis. I suggest: At the board meeting, the managing director said that the sales team was not doing a good job.

Hi Mister Micawber,

Thank you very much for your input and suggestion. I have taken a note of it and I am grateful to you for that.

I would like to lean how to use those big words. I am aspiring to do a Phd and for my thesis, as you correctly pointed out, I would like to use them. Would it be possible for you to explain me why those words were of the wrong register.

Because it is a simple business message: everyone should be able to understand it quickly and easily without pondering meanings or resorting to a dictionary.

I doubt if you will have any reason to use animadversion even in a doctoral dissertation.
