Is that motivation letter ok?

Hi folks, i need to write a motivation letter for my working visa holiday but i am not a English native speaker, so i will really appreciate your help!
this is what i have written:

Dear Sir or Madam

I am a 30 year old Interior designer in progres and I work as a freelance in my free time. In addition, I have been working as a manager in a coffee shop company to afford my studys.

I have been interested in Canadian culture and many others but I never have had the chance to go and visit and learn more about it.It was during the last year when I heard for very first time about the Working Visa Holiday and I became more interested in Canada. I subsequently developed my language skills more and more. I studied French on my own without been successfull and at the end, last March I began to study French because I want to improve my language skills before working and travelling.

I am keen to travel in order to understand the Canadian culture and lifestyle more, see new interior designs styles and I am pretty sure that would be a new challenging step in my career, helping me to develop myself into a great designer having differents points of view.

For me, as a designer, it would be extremely helpful to gain international experience.

Now I am particularly excited about understanding Canadian culture more, taking part in daily life and gaining an insight into working life.

Yours faithfully
