In the world people many things in different ways. Sometimes they use different method to learn. Observing, identifying, analyze, and evaluating about one thing help to understand and create something else that we never got before. Likewise, in “Take This Fish and Look at It” Scudder use epiphany to learn about a fish that teach us a great lesson.



There are some steps that led him to epiphany. When he went to Harvard University his teacher told when to start study and Scudder say now. So, he is energetic, and he starts to study about a fish. He stays there for more than five hours to observe the fish and started to draw. He watching and using one cell or part of his brain to study this fish. He analyzes and evaluates it from different parts. In other words, he is creative in learning by observing things.



Scudder learned an important lesson from this experience. At first time he thought fish is nasty, boring, and despair. He doesn’t know what to do next. He couldn’t find about this fish. Later, when his professor told him look at it again. Scudder has patience. He looked at it, but it doesn’t work. Then, the professor told him he couldn’t do it. It helps him to get to another level of thinking. He gets serious that he can do it and later in next morning he could draw that fish without watching. At last, he learned how to observe specifically and find something out of it.



We learn an important lesson from his experience. We saw that he had great patience in watching a fish for almost half of the day. He is looking at it to observe and find it. He uses his persistence He looked at it over and over again. We find out from him we should not give up any time for anything. We should try over and over again. He tried to observe hundred time and we should try like him. So, we can be successful.
