The two examples you have given are quite different. Because the word "absolutely" is in point of fact absolute, where you place it has a huge impact on the meaning of a sentence. In the first example, "wasn't absolutely accurate" could technically mean anything ranging from almost-perfect to dead-wrong, but it implies that it is very close to being accurate, but not quite. Th

This is the more common phrase.
