Is THANKS singular or plural?

Please help me!

Which one is right?

a) Our thanks go to the workers who supported the union.

b) Our thank goes to the workers who supported the union.

c) Our thanks goes to the workers who supported the union.

Many thanks to my classmates for helping me. (is this wrong?) Should i follow this syntax (thanks + V?) My many thanks go/goes to my classmates who helped me.

Could you please explain for my reference? Thank you!

"Thanks" is the plural so A is correct. "many thanks to my classmates/friends/coworkers etc" is fine. "many thanks" doesn't have to be followed by a verb.

i think that the correct answer should be (c) because thanks is considered singular.. I mean the "s" in thanks is part of the word.. You can't say our thank... Like you will deal with it in the same way as physics or economics..
That is all! (My point of view, am a student not a teacher XD)

Anonymousbecause thanks is considered singular.
No. It's considered plural even though it's not used in the singular. (It's like "clothes" in that way.)
