Is "teamwork skills" grammatically correct?

I am writing a sentence and I would like to use "teamwork skills" but I am not sure if it is formal or proper grammar.

Here is what I have:

"My thorough knowledge of company services and my ability to work in teams was / were crucial in resolving issues expediently."
