Is something worked before?

Hi,

Could you please correct, or suggest the best option. Situation: I have changed some lines of code in the programming script which was a fix to run the program correctly. But I was surprised how that script worked before I fix it.

Options:

I am not sure how it worked before?

I am not sure why I didn't get errors before I have fixed it?
