Is "scheduled" necessary?

"Please note that the meeting is today, at 3.30pm." or " Please note the meeting is scheduled at 3.30pm, today. which should be the correct?

Regarding Mister Micawber... I would definitely say "today's meeting is at 3.30 pm" (informal) OR "scheduled for 3:30 pm today". NB: scheduled with the preposition "for". Schedule applies to time so should be followed by time, as in second example.
