Is "shelfe life" good English?

We all know that everything that the factories have manufactured, whether it be food or beverage, has a label on it when it's on sale. The label will show us its manufacturer, date of production, trade mark as well as the period during which the product will remain good. What do you call the "period" in English? In China, three terms are being frequently used: shelf life, storage life and term of quality. Are they right? I mean : are they what you're using in English-speaking countries? Thanks a lot!
