Is "Nobody in her school is as tall as she." correct?

Hello, everyone

I saw a sentence in my grammar book and I wonder if it's right. It goes like this:

"Nobody (else) in her school is as tall as she."

The "else" in the ( ) means it can be elimanated. But can it really be elimanated?

Please give me your opinion and I'd appreciate that. Thank you!Emotion: smile

Yes, else is optional. If you look closely at the logic, it doesn't make logical sense without else -- but the reader's common sense supplies the obvious meaning.
