Clive,

For the first sentence, should I use is or was?

For the 3rd sentence, if the sentence is "The water accumulated on the ceiling caused the ceiling board to drop on the floor." is it ok?

Thanks

Hi,

For the first sentence, should I use is or was? 'Was' is fine.

You can also use 'is' if the accident was recent and Mike is stil injured.

For the 3rd sentence, if the sentence is "The water accumulated on the ceiling caused the ceiling board to drop on the floor." is it ok? Yes.
