Is "portion" oky here?

In line with the architects’ idea, this facade fits in and stylistically represents the building facades in this portion of the Liberty Street.

Streets are less likely to be ‘portioned’ than ‘sectioned’. Sometimes the words, ‘in this stretch’ is used (in my experience). However, I would omit “the” before Liberty Street.
