How about "Mold me a heart of gold"? Is it fine?

Yes. It's as good as gold..

Please let me share my observation: When speaking figuratively, many non-native speakers of English in my country say, "***, please mold a heart of gold for me." I wonder why they speak that way, while the truth is that they can simply say, "***, please mold me a heart of gold," a statement which is more concise. Am I right?

The verb "mold" is ditransitive, which means that it takes a direct and indirect object.

In English, the indirect object can be an object case, or in a prepositional phrase with to or for.
Native speakers use the indirect object both ways, like these examples:

Give me a golden heart.
Give a golden heart to me.

Send a letter to me.
Send me a letter.

I agree with you, Ma'am Alphecca Stars. But in terms of conciseness of expression, the first given sentence in each pair is more preferable, from my own perspective.

Rommelthe first given sentence in each pair is more preferable
Off-topic note.

Use 'preferable', not 'more preferable'.

'preferable' means 'more desirable', so 'more preferable' means 'more more desirable'.

How I wish I had a keen eye for correct word usage like you, Sir CJ! If only I could be a native speaker of English... Do you think I can be a better writer and speaker of English one of these days? :C

Of course. Why not?

Well, not literally in days, of course. These things take time.
