Is paragraph-writing in full block style applicable in essay-writing?

Is paragraph-writing in full block style, with spaces between paragraphs, applicable in essay-writing? In my opinion, doing so can be economical on the part of the writer. What do you think? Emotion: thinking

Yes, it is the modern way, with no indentation of the first line. However, both are acceptable. Just be sure that you do not indent AND leave a blank space: don't mix the two styles.
