Is or Was

Suppose Im comparing 2 movies that were shown long ago (i.e. Star Wars Episode 4 Vs Episode 5 Empire Strikes Back), do I say "Episode 5 WAS better than Episode 4" (past tense since they were shown long ago) or "Episode 5 IS better than Episode 4" (present tense since even right now, I still think its better) ?
