Is or Was

Hi, I'm not a native English speaker although I have used English in my daily conversation for the past 10 years or so. Even so, I find that my grammar is actually quite poor and reading isn't really a habit for me so lacking of vocabs is another issue.

Anyway, I'm having a confused newb moment. I can't seem to figure out the proper use of of "is" or "was" when describing an existing object that had been used to do something. So out of the two options below, which is correct?

A. This is the camera that he used to take those pictures.

B. This was the camera that he used to take those pictures.
