I'm torn between which verb I should be using in the following sentence:

From Andrew Hudson's Job List I learned about your need for a Marketing Specialist. I am very interested in the position and believe that my professional experience in digital strategy, content production/implementation, and project management (is or are?) appropriate for the position.
