I am having difficultly with this sentence (US English):

Attached is my cover letter and resume .... or .... Attached are my cover letter and resume.

Thank you Clive! It just sounded funny to me. And yes, when emailing responses to job postings I post a little blurb in the body of the email before attaching my cover letter and resume!
