Is or Are

ok... have a question.

I have a sentence but I'm not sure if I use "is" or "are"... Microsoft Word says to use "is" but it doesn't make sense.

the sentence is as follows:

"Dean recently purchased a vehicle and below is the questions I asked him."

Or is it.... "Dean recently purchased a vehicle and below are the questions I asked him."

Thanks for the help!
