Hello, Is opportunity countable? The following tow sentences are parts of my essay. Is the usage of opportunity correct?
1. If I am granted to study in Canada, I will cherish this valuable opportunity, dedicate all my efforts to PhD study, and then return to China.
2. Although the competition between job-seekers and researchers is fierce, undoubtedly there are still tons of opportunities in China, which is now the second largest economy.
