Is my way of using "impression" acceptable?

One good thing about reading is that you can talk about (. ) with people who have also read them.

1) your impressions of books
2) the impressions you've got from books
3) the impressions books have made on you
4) the impressions books have made on you

3) and 4) are listed as possible answers in my textbook, while 1) and 2) are my answers. I thought 3) and 4) sound strange, but I just wanted to make sure of it.

No, those are valid alternatives. #2: using 'got' (or 'gotten') is casual.

I think the point of the question mark was that both of them are exactly the same.
