Is my understanding correct?

I have eaten at three restaurants since I arrived two weeks ago. From the moment I arrived until now I have been to three restaurants. These are completed actions and the total number of restaurants I have been to is three.

I have been eating at three restaurants since I arrived two weeks ago. From the moment I arrived until now I have been going to the same three restaurants to eat. It is a continuing action. I have been alternating between these three restaurants.
