Is my understanding correct?

Today we are going to look at five body language tricks that would make any one instantly like you. Is the would in the sentence conditional II with implied if? Like

If you used it(don't know if you going to use it), it would help you make any one instantly like you.

It sounds weird to me. I suppose she means these tricks would make anyone like you if you tried them, but I find that more complicated than necessary.

I think in a way I am saying that she is wrong. I would not have said that. I would call it a slip of the tongue.

We have to realize that when speaking we don't always say everything exactly as we would if we had time to think about each word more carefully, as when we are writing.
