Is my understanding correct?

Hi Guys, please help me understand this sentence. " to my reading it expressed in a deep and comprehensive form the essential ideals that I think are crucial for a viable human society on this singular planet". Is it a converted way to say " to my reading the essential ideas expressed in a deep and comprehensive form, and I think the essential ideals are crucial for a viable human society on this singular planet"? Thanks a lot!
