Is my understanding correct?

Jack meets Alex and says, "how are you Alex ".Alex says, "I am good but I haven't been feeling well lately. Does Alex mean he is feeling good now but he might not feel well in the future.how Alex he feeling at the time of speaking?

I take it to mean that Alex does not consider his "not feeling well" to be serious.
To say, "I am good" is sometimes intended to mean, "Don't worry about me."
(I'm okay, but I could be feeling better.)
