Is my thesis good? (short question)
I am ESL and I am having trouble coming up with a thesis for my essay. I am writing a compare and contrast essay about the role of women in the victorian era compared to the role of wome the novel Wuthering Heights.
This is my thesis, I am not sure if it makes sense or if it is a good thesis.
The differences between the roles of women in Wuthering heights and the roles of women in the Victorian Era are partly responsible to why the critics of the era gave the novel terrible reviews.

Since Victoria had only been on the throne for 10 years before Wuthering Heights was published, the reviewers of the day were hardly "Victorian" in their views. Hard-line "Victorian" views did not really come in until the second half of the 19th century. What I think you will have to do is do some research into the critical attitudes of the early 19th century.
