Mister Micawber,
I used " captured" because my coworker used this in her sentence. She was asking me if expenses were captured in 2011. Did she use the word wrong?

It is possible that it is computer-accountant slang, but it not a generally accepted term, I think. I am a trained accountant and have not heard it before now.
