To remove something is to take away that something already there. In this sentence, "remove" seems to be the wrong choice of word in my opinion as its meaning is not semantically clear. If I may, this is my translation: Please stop planting fear and terrifying thoughts in my head. Give me a peace of mind in the future instead

I had assumed that the fear is one's own imagination, not implanted by someone else. Everyone at times is afraid of what the future might bring.
The original, as a plea to a higher power, is fine.

But if someone else is scaring you, then it would be "Please stop frightening me about things that might happen. ..."

Yes alpheccaStars, this is a prayer request. I always think of something bad is going yo happen to my family. I am a paranoid person and a worrier freak. :-(
Thank you guys.
