Is my sentence coorrect?

You must stand firm in the hard life.

I think grammatically it's correct. However I would tend to say: You must stand firm against the hard life.

I think grammatically it's correct. However I would tend to say:

You must stand firm against the hard life.

That is not the same meaning, and what meaning it does have is odd. It seems to say that you must resist the hard life.

'You must stand firm in the hard life' means that you must be firm when your life is hard.
