My major subjects that I investigated during my university studies were the effects of international aid policies in developing countries and the international actors of cooperation, both governmental and non-governmental.

During my Bachelor degree I have focused on development theories and on the problems faced by countries in conflicts and in post- conflicts situation. I wrote an accademic paper on Darfur and my Bachelor's thesis was on the Rwandan genocide and on the role of the internal media in that situation.

In my master I have broaden my knoweldge of urban geography and local development continuing, at the same time, to study the international aid and development policies.

I linked this two subjects in my Master's Degree final dissertation that was about how the international actors, multilateral organizations and NGOs, influenced the housing policies in the cities of developing countries. An analysis of the issues related to the increased housing demand in fast-growing cities of developing countries has been a starting point in outlining the links between the international development agenda and its local implementation.

Finally I succesfully attended two workshops on the project cycle management in international cooeperation. The first, at univesty, on the evaluation and monitoring of international cooperation aid projects and the second, held by the camera di commercio di napoli with the university l'orientale, on the projects.
