Lee ann loves art - making art, looking at art, thinking about art, talking about art; simply everything about it makes her happy.
After graduating from Rhodes University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture, Theory of Art and English Literature, Lee ann moved from her native South Africa to Taiwan and begin her teaching career. She spent almost seven years living in Kaohsiung teaching English, practicing yoga, making art, and creating props and costumes for independent film and theatre.
Soon after completing her Masters in History of Art through the University of South Africa, Lee ann felt she needed to combine her two great passions: teaching and art. She has obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the UK's University of Sunderland, and spent three years teaching Middle School English and Middle and High School Art in Cairo, Egypt.
As a practicing artist Lee ann is a collector of memories, moments and unexpected beauty. Seeking out inspiration from the cultures and situations they find themselves in is something that Lee Ann strives to cultivate in her students, as well as a grounding in the traditions of art and discourse.
