Is my expression ok?

Dear all,

I have been looking for a research position in a university .
Several days ago, I heard from the professor whom I had never known before I sent my first email to him to show my interest in his research and he said he would interview me online after the 27th December. I responded that I would remind him of this interview after 27th for his convenience.

So, in my next email, I plan to write like below,

dear prof. Xxxx
How was your Christmas going? I wish you have had a great holiday.
In addition, could you please arrange an interview recently for me? By the way, may I ask what are topics of our discussion?
I am looking forward to hearing from you and thanks for your consideration.
Best regards,
Yours sincerely,
XXXX

This is my expression and now I wanna know whether my expression is suitable for this specific situation?

Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Thanks.

Dear Prof. Xxxx, I apologize for intruding on your holiday, but I just wanted to remind you of the online interview that you offered me after December 27th and to ask you if you could advise me of the topics you wish to discuss at that time. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Mister Micawber,Thanks for your timely reply.Your expression is great. Maybe I failed to describe my question clearly. I plan to send this email in the morning of the 28th December when the public holiday would have been already over. So I think the first sentence you posted maybe is not appropriate here, but how could I reedit this sentence?Thank you very much!Tristan

Our holiday season runs from approximately December 24th through January 2nd. You are impinging upon it with your letter.

The university I plan to go is in Hong Kong where the Christmas holiday lasts only two days as far as I know. So I am not impinging upon it.

That's not very polite, and hardly in the spirit of the season.
