Is my English sentence correct, suitable and polite?

Dear professor,
During the last year, a group of SRBIAU`s students, four in total (including Mrs. Y and myself) Administered by the doctor Mohamed Ali P. worked on a book about physiology and anatomy and its application in Biomedical Engineering. The book is almost ready now, and we are looking to start the publication process. According to your background and your experience in book publication, we would like to use your valuable expertise in this area if possible. I would really appreciate it if you could set aside a time to speak with me about this over the phone so I could ask you a few questions, should you be available.
