Is my correction acceptable?

The following sentence sounds ungrammatical, I guess:

Bleeding occurs internally to the eyes, ears, and nose, causing the organs to fail.

If I were to correct it, it would be Internal bleeding occurs in the eyes, ears, and nose, causing the organs to fail. Is my correction acceptable?

Top answer

Rommel If I were to correct it, it would be Internal bleeding occurs in the eyes, ears, and nose, causing the organs to fail. Is my correction acceptable? Yes, that is better for the general reader, though I suspect that 'to' may be used among medical practitioners.
