Is my analysis right?

Hi,

I am going to make a sentence with the word 'true' and tell a story about it that will lead to my argument that having that word in the sentence makes it necessary to have the article 'a'. Let us assume that there was no prior mentioning of the word 'contrition' for the sake of this posing of question.

A true contrition is made when a person repents and asks for forgiveness in the name of God.

My argument is that when you have what I think is an uncountable noun like 'contrition' and precede it with an adjective like 'true', it makes an impression to the readers that it is a kind of contrition that is different and unique from what generally are written with a pen, thus deserves to made countable.

The adjective 'the' is different from the adjective 'deep' in that it cuts deep; where as the sentenece with 'deep' as below doesn't cut deep, so as to warrant the need to make the transformation.

Deep contrition is made when a person repents and asks for forgiveness in the name of God.
