Is 'like than' right?

Hi guys,

I've just got a problem with the grammar. The sentence is: "I like staying at home than going to zoos."

My teacher says that there is just'like...than' but we can understand that that one prefers staying at home to go to the zoos.

However, in my opinion, we need to put 'more' before 'than' because 'than' doesn't have any meaning on itself.

What do you think? I'm looking forward to seeing your answer. Emotion: smile
